Support is growing!!

   Hope this finds evryone well.
I was just chatting with an Iron City grown lacrosse superstar.
As he and I exchanged dialog, I got recharged about my efforts.
We are in agreement that professional lacrosse and Pittsburgh is a good fit. Furthermore, the residual effect that it could have on the sport in Western PA is remarkable.
He was also very gracious to offer his assistance towards the cause. With more guys like him carrying the torch, we should start making room in our closets for yet another Black & Gold jersey.

Consol Energy Center?

Hey Gang! Just wanted to bring you up to speed. I had a really interesting phone conversation with the GM of the Consol Energy Center (the new home of the Penguins). He embraced the idea of lacrosse back in Pittsburgh. He also gave me some interesting insight as to why it left in the first place.
FYI- It had nothing to do with the fan base.
His interest, however, is in Major league. The thought of a Minor league team gives hime shivers. But, a minor team has flexibilities the the majors don't have.
  Decisions. Decisions.
I am looking at both options.
Somehow, someway, Pittsburgh is going to have a team.

Is Box Lacrosse the Answer?

After doing some research, things are leading me to believe that Pittsburgh needs to walk before it can run when it comes to Professional Lacrosse. Seems that it is a Football and Hockey town. However, there may be a way that we can take some "baby steps".
There is a new minor indoor league ready to launch as early as 4th quarter 2010. The cost of entry is exponentially lower than the MLL or NLL. This may be more of a palatable solution for not only me and my investors but also you the fan base upon entry at the gate.
I do realize that box lacrosse removes some of the purity of the game, but I am looking at this option as a way  to bring more exposure (at any level ) to lacrosse in Pittsburgh.
As always, your comments are well received.

The goal is the same! Looking for a fan base in Pittsburgh to pursue Professional Lacrosse!

The poll is going well. We had about 80 more votes ove the weekend. However, the comments are on the light side. Your feedback is very important to us.

Thank You "Inside Lacrosse" !

Tommy,
Thank you for your time and the terriffic article. I see the comments started to pour in to your site. And thank you to all of those who took the time to post comments. There are a lot of interesting perspectives and each one is now under consideration. I look forward to more. Please keep them coming.

Pittsburgh! Now that the buzz has been created, where would you like to see a pro team play?

Keep in mind ,we are approaching the MLL and the NLL. Once I receive some feedback, I will start another poll on the venue.

Thanks in advance for your interest and support!

Happy New Year!

Is Pittsburgh ready for "the fastest game on two feet"?

You tell me!

The game has been here for years, the interest is growing at a rapid pace, and we may have the opportunity to have a team at the proffessional level.
However, we need to hear from you, the fan base.

If there is not enough of a fan base then the pusuit of a ProLAX team is all for not. So please let me hear from you and tell me how much you love the game.
